Dolly Parton’s Hollywood Hills Home Lists at $7.95M

A Hollywood Hills home once owned by the late Dolly Parton has listed for $7.95 million, marking the property’s first time on the market in 25 years. The country music icon and her husband, Carl Dean, originally acquired the residence in 1985 for $750,000 and later sold it in 1990 for $1.2 million, according to listing records and property data.
The property, commonly known as the Dolly Parton House, underwent a complete rebuild in 2009 and has since received additional upgrades, as detailed in the listing. Spanning nearly 4,700 square feet, the home boasts a spacious living and dining room area with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide panoramic views across the cityscape towards the distant Pacific Ocean. Inside, the residence features a well-appointed library, a state-of-the-art media room, a comfortable family room, and an eat-in kitchen that combines functionality with modern design. The primary suite includes a coffee bar, a cozy fireplace, two bathrooms, a flexible space suitable for an office or gym, a walk-in closet, and a private deck that offers seclusion and comfort.
The estate’s outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool and spa, along with multiple areas designed for outdoor dining and entertaining, a two-car garage, EV charging infrastructure, and a serene Zen trail for peaceful walks. The current seller, who could not be reached for comment at the time of the listing, originally acquired the home for $2.05 million in 2001. The listing is managed by Edward Tinney of Nourmand & Associates and Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency.
